Tasi's Amarone comes from Veneto's Valpolicella area, using Corvina and Rondinella in the region's famous dried-grape style. The estate's story includes the regeneration of former quarry land, giving the bottle an unusual setting. Concentrated fruit and a smooth texture make this a substantial red for rich food and slow evenings.

  • Aromas: Pronounced ripe-fruit notes, with pastry and pie-crust impressions adding a warm, gently savoury layer to the generous fragrance.
  • Palate: Rich and smooth, with concentrated fruit and a long finish. Warmth and a rounded tannic frame give the wine a substantial, comfortable presence.
  • Style: A dry, full-bodied Amarone with considerable richness; the dried-grape process concentrates flavour, but the finished wine is intended as a dry red.
  • Winemaking: Corvina and Rondinella undergo appassimento, drying before fermentation to concentrate the grapes. Fermentation and subsequent maturation bring that intense fruit into the powerful, layered style associated with Amarone.
  • Cellaring: Drink now if well stored, with potential for further development in bottle. If ageing further, store in a cool and dark location. Before opening stand upright to settle sediment, and taste before choosing gentle decanting or further aeration.
  • Food Pairing: A grilled steak, braised beef, roast lamb or aged hard cheese; choose savoury dishes with enough substance for its concentrated palate.

Amarone is a lovely bottle when you want dinner to feel a little more generous. Tasi brings the dried-grape richness with a smooth, inviting texture and an unusual vineyard story. Pour slowly, add something savoury and make time for the long finish. Serve slightly cool, taste before deciding on decanting, and give the wine time to develop in the glass.

Tasi

Above the Illasi Valley, at the edge of Verona’s Lessinia mountains, Tasi tells a story of renewal. Its estate was once a quarry, and the project places the restoration of the landscape at the centre of its identity. Emerging from the experience of the Fasoli wine family and their collaborators, Tasi brings a younger, independent spirit to the region’s traditions. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and other local varieties connect its reds with Verona, while Garganega and Glera contribute to the wider collection.

Regenerative organic farming, biodiversity and the relationship between vineyards, woodland and animals shape the estate’s daily work. The same measured approach continues in the cellar through spontaneous fermentation and maturation in cement and large neutral oak. Tasi presents wines with an emphasis on freshness and balance, allowing the landscape to guide the result. Even its name carries personality: in Venetian dialect, “tasi” means “be quiet”, an invitation to pause and pay attention. For drinkers interested in thoughtful farming and a distinctive producer story, Tasi offers an appealing meeting of regional heritage and a landscape being brought back to life.
