The Ox Hardy range brings together a rare combination of people, vineyard, history and winemaking provenance. Andrew 'Ox' Hardy is a fifth-generation winemaker and great-great-grandson of Thomas Hardy — the father of the South Australian wine industry. His family's Upper Tintara Vineyard is home to a 2.54 hectare block of Ancestor Vines planted by Thomas Hardy himself in 1891, among the oldest in the country.
Over two decades, Andrew quietly made and cellared wines from the vineyard before the first public release in 2019 — meaning every bottle already carries deep history before it leaves the cellar.
