Belleamour is Pravis's Schiava rose from the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino. The local red grape is given a light, fresh pink expression at the estate near Lasino. Gentle fruit and an easy texture define the intended style, offering an informal alternative to the area's more substantial red wines.

  • Aromas: A gentle, lightly fruity fragrance rather than an intense perfume; in this mature vintage, expect a softer expression than the bright fruit of a new release.
  • Palate: Light and refreshing in style, with an easy texture and gentle fruit. The palate is designed to feel delicate and approachable alongside simpler food.
  • Style: A dry, light-bodied rose with an informal, easy-drinking character; the emphasis is on delicacy and gentle fruit rather than weight or intense perfume.
  • Winemaking: Schiava grapes receive short cold maceration and gentle pressing, then controlled fermentation. The producer describes five months in stainless steel before bottling, retaining a light, fresh rose style.
  • Cellaring: Enjoy now. Prioritise drinking over further ageing, as delicate fruit can fade with time.
  • Food Pairing: A light chicken salad, vegetable tart, antipasti or simple fish dish; choose gentle flavours that leave room for the wine's delicate character.

A light rose can be lovely company for a simple lunch, and Belleamour gives a local Trentino grape a gentle pink voice. Put a few savoury dishes on the table and enjoy its easygoing style. This mature vintage is for prompt enjoyment once bottle condition has been checked. Serve chilled and enjoy with food, allowing the delicate fruit and savoury finish to stay at the centre.

Pravis

Between the Brenta Dolomites and Lake Garda, Pravis draws its character from Trentino’s Valle dei Laghi. Founded by Domenico, Gianni and Mario, the estate places the grower’s relationship with small vineyard plots at the centre of its work. The next generation, including Domenico’s daughters Giulia and Erika, contributes across the vineyard and cellar. Its diverse plantings include Nosiola, Müller-Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc, Kerner, Schiava, Franconia and Pinot Nero, alongside varieties used for more substantial red blends.

Pravis combines that regional heritage with a keen interest in the future of viticulture. Its disease-resistant varieties, including Solaris, Souvignier Gris and Johanniter, offer a different route to wines from the mountain landscape. The underground cellar and use of gravity reflect an approach shaped by the surroundings, while traditional-method sparkling wine adds another dimension to the range. Fresh whites, characterful local reds and ambitious blends such as Fratagranda make this an estate worth exploring across styles. Pravis’s distinction lies in the meeting of family continuity, Trentino’s diverse grapes and a practical willingness to experiment.
