Powell's Neldner Road is the rebrand of Powell & Son and is the brain child of a man with an incredible reputation - Dave Powell. Over the years Dave has worked at iconic wineries such as Rockford in the heart of the Barossa. Dave's passion lay in the vineyards where he procured fruit in lieu of payment in the early days. Subsequently, Dave was able to establish Torbreck. It soon became a cult winery from the Barossa Valley, especially in international circles. One not to rest on his laurels, Dave has reinvented himself again with the exciting new brand - Neldner Road. After a period of time collaborating with his son Callum on Powell & Son, both have decided to let their creative juices flow and have each started new ventures. Dave Powell has now relaunched his venture under the brand- Nelnder Road, again crafting exceptional wines from premium vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valley. He employs traditional, minimalist wine making techniques. The inspiration for this style of wine making has its roots in France’s Rhone Valley. Powell's Neldner Road red wines are made from the classic Rhone varietals: Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro and its whites: Roussanne, Marsanne as well as Eden Valley Riesling. Great wine begin in the vineyard is the philosophy that Dave Powell has built his reputation on. The wines all speak of the place where grown.
