The Ox Hardy Chardonnay is a medium-bodied, elegant, and structured white wine from the cool-climate vineyards of the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Crafted by fifth-generation winemaker Andrew "Ox" Hardy, this vintage is a masterclass in balance, deliberately steering away from the heavy, over-oaked styles of the past to champion a more contemporary and precise expression
  • Aromas: The nose opens with vibrant notes of white peach, nectarine, and grapefruit, beautifully layered with hints of roasted hazelnut, flint, vanilla pod, and fresh pastry.
  • Palate: The palate is generous yet focused, delivering crunchy stone fruit and citrus flavours supported by a fine line of natural acidity, a subtle creaminess, and a gently drying, structural finish.
  • Style: This is a refined and balanced cool-climate Chardonnay that intentionally moves away from heavy, over-oaked styles, focusing instead on bright fruit-forward character with elegant, beautifully integrated oak influence.
  • Winemaking: Sourced from premium Adelaide Hills sites, the fruit is barrel-fermented and undergoes partial malolactic fermentation with lees stirring in a mix of new and seasoned French oak to build textural depth and generosity.
  • Cellaring: Though it offers fantastic drinking freshness and vibrancy right now, its secure acid line and structural balance mean it will hold beautifully over the next 3 to 5 years.
  • Food Pairing: An exceptional match for roasted chicken with garlic butter, grilled salmon, cream-based pasta dishes, or a plate of fresh fruit de mer.

A delicious Chardonnay that gets the balance completely right. It gives you plenty of that comforting, creamy peach and nutty goodness you want, but it stays totally fresh and lively because of that crisp Adelaide Hills acidity. It is an absolute no-brainer of a bottle to crack open for a roast chicken dinner or a lazy weekend lunch with a few good mates.

A lightly golden yellow, this combines drive and generosity, with notes of yellow peach, lemon curd, yellow grapefruit, roasted hazelnuts, stone-fruit blossom and a little mineral stoniness. The acid line holds true in this slightly warmer and drier year, well balanced, with a creamy mid-palate and gently drying structure. It’s got the curb appeal for those wanting a bit more weight, and enough line to satisfy those chasing some freshness
