Oliver’s Taranga – Chica Mencia Rosé
Oliver’s Taranga is a family-run estate established in 1841, with vines planted soon after. Now in the hands of the sixth generation, the Oliver family are recognised as leading sustainably certified growers in McLaren Vale, with fruit sought after by top producers including Penfolds for Grange.
Under the guidance of winemaker Corrina Wright, the estate’s fruit is now showcased through the Oliver’s Taranga label. Corrina has built a strong reputation for producing ultra-premium, age-worthy wines, while also playing a leading role in the “Women in Wine” movement.
Long known for its exceptional red wines, the estate is also embracing Mediterranean varieties well suited to the McLaren Vale climate—an approach increasingly shaping the region. Throughout this evolution, the focus remains on expressing the unique character of the Taranga Vineyard.
The Rosé is a perfect example—bright, fresh and vibrant, with lifted aromatics and a crisp, refreshing finish that reflects both site and style.
