Autentico Zero Dosage is Jasci e Marchesani's traditional-method sparkling wine from Abruzzo, blending Pecorino, Riesling and Chardonnay. The organic estate brings a local grape together with two international varieties. With no dosage added after disgorgement, the wine is designed to express its fruit and freshness in a particularly dry style.

  • Aromas: Lemon and tropical-fruit hints meet bread-crust notes, with pink grapefruit adding a bright citrus accent to the aromatic profile.
  • Palate: Fresh and lively, with a gently rounded texture beneath the bubbles. Citrus gives the finish definition, while the absence of dosage keeps the palate dry.
  • Style: A dry, zero-dosage sparkling blend with both citrus-led energy and traditional-method texture; the aromatic fruit does not indicate sweetness.
  • Winemaking: A blend of Pecorino, Riesling and Chardonnay undergoes second fermentation in bottle. Lees ageing builds complexity, and disgorgement is followed by no dosage, preserving the wine's especially dry finish.
  • Cellaring: A mature sparkling vintage: enjoy now. Further cellaring depends on the individual bottle, not the vintage alone.
  • Food Pairing: Oysters, fried prawns, smoked fish, chicken appetisers or salty cheese; the freshness is a useful partner for crisp, fried textures.

Prefer your bubbles properly dry? Autentico is an appealing Abruzzo alternative with a local-grape twist. Start with something salty or crisp, then let the citrus and bread-crust notes carry you into the meal. A good bottle for anyone curious about Italian traditional-method wines. Serve well chilled in a tulip-shaped wine glass so both the bubbles and the aromatic detail can show.

Jasci e Marchesani

Between the Adriatic Sea and the inland hills around Vasto, Jasci e Marchesani is a family winery with an unusually long commitment to organic growing. The Jasci and Marchesani families moved from livestock and market gardening into viticulture, drawing on an older household tradition of winemaking. Today Nicola Jasci leads the business, with his wife Federica responsible for the technical winemaking side and other relatives contributing their expertise. Montepulciano is the principal red grape, while the white collection explores Abruzzo varieties including Pecorino and Trebbiano.

The family began working organically in 1960 and achieved certification in 1978, placing it among Italy’s early adopters. That history is an essential part of the estate’s identity, supported today by a cellar using renewable energy. Different vineyard locations shape different styles: the Sinello valley contributes savoury whites, while the clay-rich inland hills provide the fruit for more structured Montepulciano, including Janù. For drinkers seeking characterful Abruzzo wines, Jasci e Marchesani offers a persuasive combination of regional grapes, family involvement and an organic philosophy developed over decades.
