- Aromas: Punchy aromatics of fresh lime, lemon sherbet, and green apple, layered with white flowers, bath salts, and a clean, wet-stone mineral edge.
- Palate: Crisp and mouth-watering, packed with juicy citrus, grapefruit, and mandarin flavors riding over a focused, flinty mineral backbone.
- Style: Bone-dry, vibrant, and incredibly refreshing, balancing a generous burst of fruit with a laser-sharp acid line and a long, clean finish.
- Winemaking: Cool-fermented in stainless steel to lock in maximum freshness, with a small portion of pressings carefully included to add a touch of extra texture without bitterness.
- Cellaring: Deliciously fresh and ready to enjoy right now, but possesses the excellent structure and drive to age gracefully in the cellar through 2038.
- Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with freshly shucked oysters, kingfish ceviche, pan-seared white fish, or spicy Southeast Asian salads.
Vickery Wines
If there is one name synonymous with Australian Riesling, it is John Vickery. Beginning with the iconic Leo Buring Riesling in 1955, John helped redefine Australian Riesling, championing the potential of Eden Valley and Watervale to produce dry wines of purity, longevity and strong regional character. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, he pioneered many of the techniques now fundamental to premium Riesling production, including cool fermentation, gentle fruit handling and the early adoption of screw caps.
Today, Vickery Wines continues that remarkable legacy in partnership with winemaker Phil Lehmann, sourcing fruit from exceptional vineyards across Eden Valley and Watervale. The result is a collection of Rieslings that reflect John's lifetime of knowledge, precision and uncompromising pursuit of quality — recognised by more than 50 trophies and 400 gold medals throughout his career.
