The Paringa Estate Peninsula Chardonnay is a bright, medium-bodied, and highly expressive cool-climate white wine from the maritime slopes of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Produced by founder Lindsay McCall, this sub-regional release serves as a vibrant, value-packed showcase of the area, seamlessly blending lively regional stone fruits with a beautifully complex, textured core
- Aromas: Pristine and expressive with white peach, grapefruit pith, lemon rind, and flinty struck-match notes.
- Palate: Vibrant and generous with juicy nectarine, citrus flavours, and a fine line of taut natural acidity.
- Style: Contemporary Mornington Chardonnay focusing on great fruit intensity and energetic drive, building texture without feeling heavy.
- Winemaking: Handpicked fruit is whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented on solids in French oak barrels, and matured on fine lees for nine months.
- Cellaring: Deliciously giving upon release for its primary fruit vibrancy, it will cellar and evolve gracefully over 3 to 5 years.
- Food Pairing: Phenomenal with salt and pepper squid, Vietnamese chicken salad, crispy-skinned barramundi, or lemon-herb roasted chicken.
This is a cracking Peninsula white that hits the sweet spot between creamy barrel weight and zesty, sea-breeze freshness. It cuts back on heavy oak to let the wild, smoky matchstick characters and punchy citrus flavors step right into the spotlight.
