The Kalleske Parallax Grenache is a light-to-medium-bodied, vibrant, and energetic red wine from the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Grown on the family's certified organic and biodynamic estate, this unique release is a playful nod to changing perceptions, offering a fresh, early-picked, and entirely unwooded take on traditional Barossa Grenache.
  • Aromas: The nose is fragrant and lifted, bursting with wild raspberry, red licorice, and fresh strawberry, alongside pretty hints of rose petals and subtle herbal spice.
  • Palate: The palate is bright and light on its feet, packed with crunchy redcurrant and plum flavours, balanced by crisp acidity and fine, chalky tannins.
  • Style: This is a fresh, modern Grenache that avoids the heavy, high-alcohol styles of the region to focus entirely on fruit buoyancy and easy-drinking refreshment.
  • Winemaking: Sourced from an estate block, the fruit is picked early, wild-fermented with some whole bunches, and bottled fresh with no oak contact.
  • Food Pairing: An ideal light red to serve slightly chilled with charcoal-grilled pork, casual tapas, charcuterie boards, or a mid-week wood-fired pizza.

This is a super fun bottle that completely flips the script on Barossa Grenache by swapping heavy alcohol for bright berry juiciness. It is a total crowd-pleaser that stays wonderfully fresh and light on its feet. Pop it in the fridge for 15 minutes before pouring—it is the perfect match for a warm afternoon barbecue or a relaxed dinner night with friends.

Woah! What a wild-smelling grenache. It's like a crash between a spice salesman and a florist. Light ruby in the glass with bunchy aromas of raspberry, red plum, cranberry, watermelon, amaro, rose petals, dried citrus rind, Turkish delight, sarsaparilla, gingerbread and red licorice. Light and airy with a musk-like edge on the palate, some sour morello cherry, billowing chalky tannins and a real sense of nervy tension and herbal depth. A super-interesting, wild-eyed savoury style

Kalleske

The Kalleske family have been farming the land near the Barossa Valley village of Greenock since 1853 — making them one of the region's most deeply rooted grape-growing families. Their reputation as growers is such that they were among the select few chosen to supply fruit for Penfolds Grange, one of the world's most celebrated wines.

In 2002, seventh-generation brothers Troy and Tony took the next step — establishing the Kalleske winery and earning certification as both an organic and biodynamic producer. Their philosophy is one of genuine stewardship: not simply maintaining the land, but actively improving it for the generations that will follow.

Since their first release in 2004, Kalleske has built a swift and well-deserved reputation for handcrafted wines of exceptional quality — the natural expression of over 170 years of farming the same Barossa soil.

"Among the select few chosen to supply fruit for Penfolds Grange — a testament to over 170 years of Barossa farming."
